Dona Ana Beach is one of the most popular beaches in the region of the Algarve, in Portugal. The area where the beach is located is known as “Golden Coast”, due to the yellow color of the rocks.
Unlike other beaches in Portugal, Dona Ana is a beach protected from the wind, with calm and very clean waters. It is surrounded by rocky cliffs, as you can see in the images accompanying this article.
You can have a very good time at this beach equipped with diving goggles. As said the waters are very calm, and transparent, which facilitates the observation of the seabed.
There is a parking lot in the nearby, and also restaurants. During the high season, the beach has a lifeguard.
Keep in mind that this beach may be very crowded at the weekends. There are a couple of restaurant at the beach, but our advice would be to take a walk to the locality of Lagos, where the variety is greater.
